Grateful Hearts, Warm Gatherings JYL Foundation × Best for Kids Academy

With autumn leaves falling and a gentle chill in the air, warmth and gratitude filled the season.

JYL Foundation x Best for Kids Academy, hosted a Thanksgiving Potluck for community families—an event full of laughter, connection, and heartfelt moments.

Every interaction and every smile that day brought an extra touch of warmth to the early winter.

? Fun & Games · Warm Interactions Between Volunteers and Kids

On the day of the event, the game stations on the lawn quickly became the children’s favorite, filling the space with excitement and energy.

✨ 1. “Tail-Tag Chase”

Volunteers from Cosumnes Oaks High School became the “runners” in this lively game, as children chased them across the lawn with laughter and excitement.

The energetic scene became one of the happiest highlights of the day.

✨ 2. Blindfold Straight-Line Walk

Both children and adults joined in—one giving directions, the other moving forward. Their cooperation and interaction turned the game into a small but meaningful test of trust and connection.

✨ 3. Classic Tug-of-War

Teamwork instantly energized the entire field!

The kids’ cheering and encouragement filled the lawn with excitement and strength.

🍰 Warm Potluck · Food That Brings Thanksgiving to Life

After the games, families brought out an array of homemade dishes—

hot soups, family favorites, desserts, and handmade treats.

Food brought everyone together, and the stories continued to unfold around the table.

🎨 DIY Beaded Bracelets · Little Works of Art

Toward the end of the event, Teacher Yuki and Teacher Lan guided the children in creating their own DIY beaded bracelets.

They carefully selected colors and arranged patterns, crafting unique holiday gifts with their creativity and hands.
